Ada Camille Crites

Ada Camille Crites, 97, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at Cedargate Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Crites, the daughter of the late Stokely and Olive Lancaster Futrell, was born April 10, 1919 in Corning, Ark. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crites loved spending time with her family and reading her Bible. She was passionate about singing and sang with the group, Singing Seniors for many years.

On March 7, 1940, she married the love of her life, Leroy Lane Crites at the First Baptist Church in Corning. Ark. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1988.

Survivors include three children, Lane (Janetta) Crites, Jr., Lana Inman and Gregory Crites all of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, Kara, Rebecca, Amanda, Todd, Isaac, Joseph and 13 great-grandchildren.

Her daughter in law, Carolyn Crites and a brother, Shelton Futrell also preceded her in death.

The visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. Her grandson, Brother Joseph Crites will officiate and Rev. John Collins will assist. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
