Agnes R. Choisser, 94, of Council Bluff, Iowa, formerly of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluff.
Mrs. Choisser was born Dec. 3, 1918 in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Methodist faith, and had retired from Bergan-Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Neb. as an L.P.N. Mrs. Choisser was also a member of the Easter Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the summer months at the family Clearwater Lake property, and painting portraits of wildflowers.
On Dec. 3, 1949, she married Esco Choisser. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2002.
Survivors include a son, Henry C. ""Sonny"" Miller (Susan), of Council Bluffs, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kimberly Griffin (Jim), of Valles Mines, Mo., Eddie Mitchell (Marie), of Hillsboro, Mo., Steven Mitchell (Michelle), of Imperial, Mo., and Rod Gamache (Erin), of Iowa; nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Harold Boettner (Doris), of Fremont, Neb.
Her parents, Arthur L. and Minnie L. Kneir Berry, two daughters, Laverne M. (Miller) Baugh and Marcy (Miller) Boettner, and two grandchildren, Patty Mitchell and Rickey Mitchell also preceded Mrs. Choisser in death.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Rev. Steve Sales officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
