Agnes Catherine (Krapf) Thacker

Agnes Catherine Thacker, 82, of Poplar Bluff, passed away, Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Cedargate Skilled Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Thacker was born Sept. 2, in Glennonville, Mo. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Thacker previously worked at the voting polls for 30 year as a Supervisory Judge for the Butler County Clerks office. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and flower gardening.

On April 29, 1950, she married Robert L. Thacker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include six children, Becky Sparkman (Terry), of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Lee Ann Landrum (Jim), of Cordova, Tennessee, Dina Rhodes and fiance, Scott Preslar, Dana Tuggle, Leslie Lewis (Phillip), and Jane Thacker, all of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren, Tony Tuggle, Christine Wickes, Michelle Bass, Jim Landrum, Phillip Rhodes, Nathan Sparkman, Paige Lewis and Alex Lewis; twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Vanderbol, of Farmington, Sally Hulshof, of Portageville, Bert Blume, of Lake Village, Arkansas, and Rena Weidenbenner, of St. Genevieve; and a brother, Lou Krapf, of Farmington.

Her parents, Gospert and Anna (Siebert) Krapf preceded Mrs. Thacker in death.

A Prayer Service and Rosary will begin at 5:45 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville, with Father David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be at St. Teresa Church Cemetery in Glennonville.
