Alfred Lee Dixon

Alfred L. Dixon, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday Dec. 06, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Dixon, the son of the late Charles and Irene (Williams) Dixon, was born March 9, 1939 in Eminence, Mo. He was retired from the Lead Mines at Doe Run. Mr. Dixon enjoyed spending time with his family and restoring classic cars.

On Feb. 12, 1993 he married Catherine Emory in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three children: Sandra (Michael) Wood of Bolivar, Mo., Tammy Mallow of Springfield, Mo. and Christina Dixon of Desloge, Mo., Six grandchildren: Casi (Fines) Massey, Kati (Matt) Fisher, Tyler (Taylor) Mallow, Regan (Drew) Winslow, Donnie Propst and Molly Singleton, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers: Kenney Dixon and Gary Dixon.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Richard Dixon, Carl Dixon, Roy Dixon and Jerry Dixon and a sister, Joyce Dixon.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the Boss Assembly of God Church in Boss, Mo., with a memorial service following at noon with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
