Alice Brown

Alice Brown, 90, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her residence in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on January 6, 1927 to Henry and Zula (Middleton) Freeman in Charleston, SC. On June 26, 1949 she married Samuel Brown in New York, NY. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1995.

Alice is survived by her three children, Samuel (Gwendolyn) Brown of Woodridge, NY, Gordon (Donna) Brown of Palm Bay, FL, and Cynthia (Rex Rattler, Sr) Brown of Poplar Bluff, MO; one sister Amelia (Isiah) Ferguson of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren, Samuel Jones-Brown, Keenya Jones-Brown, and Joseph Jones-Brown all of Woodridge, NY, RaShawn Jones-Brown of London, England, Keron Brown of Flushing, NY, Kia Jenkins and Steven Brown both of Ladson, SC, Natasha Brown of Baltimore, MD, Malik Brown of Palm Bay, FL, and Rex Rattler, II of Poplar Bluff, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; granddaughter, Trinity Jenkins; two brothers, James Freeman and Joseph Wright; and two sisters, Evelyn Grant and Sadie Coaxum.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hillsboro Brown Cemetery in Ashleyville, SC.
