Alice F. Miller, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Alma Center, Wis. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and along with her late husband, Bill had co-owned and operated A&W Drive-In in Poplar Bluff for many years. Mrs. Miller enjoyed spending time with her family and in later years enjoyed reading and teaching china painting.
On June 14, 1949, she married William ""Bill"" V. Miller in Alma Center, Wis. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2004.
Survivors include four children, Arla (Clyde) Franklin of Kennett, Mo., Mary (Stan) Buffington and Mike (Kim) Miller all of Poplar Bluff and Kristie (Joe) Hatley of Overland Park, Kans.; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Frances Hays of Andalusia, Ill., Jeanette Bohac of Hixton, Wis., Joann Schroeder of Alma Center, Wis. and Betty O'Brien of Minneapolis, Minn.; and one brother, Bernard Capaul of Prairie du Chien, Wis.
Her parents, John and Anna Mushek Capaul, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and a brother, Robert Capaul also preceded Mrs. Miller in death.
A Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with visitation following until 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Coon officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
