Allen Thompson

Allen Thompson, Sr., 90, of St. Louis, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Abbey Care Center, in St. Louis.

Mr. Thompson was born Dec. 18, 1915, in Jericho, Ark. He was of the Baptist faith and a former railroad worker. Mr. Thompson enjoyed cooking and dancing.

He was married to Elizabeth Earl, in St. Louis. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Zina Verner and Marilyn Brooks, both of St. Louis, and Vallary Rogers, of Denver, Colo.; three sons, Jerry Thompson and Gregory Thompson, both of St. Louis and Allen Thompson, Jr., of El Paso, Tex.; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
