Alma Ellen Lovette

Alma Ellen Lovette, 86, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Lovette was born July 2, 1924 in Yount, Mo. She had retired from the Gossard Garment Factory. Mrs. Lovette enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and doing embroidery work.

On Dec. 23, 1963, she married Raymond Lovette in Miami, Okla. He survives.

Other survivors include children, Roger Harris and wife Nancy of Festus, Mo., Larry Rommel and wife Jan, Duwayne Rommel and wife Barbara, Kenny Rommel and wife Carol, Phyllis Rommel and Dennis MacElhaney and Ruth Lewis and husband Jeff all of Poplar Bluff; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat DeVita of Napa, Calif.; a son-in-law, Roger Myers of Glen Allen, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Her parents, Charles and Rhetta Hutson Mullins, daughter, Virginia ""Sissy"" Myers, grandson, Donny Rommel, and a sister and six brothers preceded Mrs. Lovette in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
