Alphia Legrand

Alphia Lou LeGrand, 93, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 at the home of her daughter Lana and son-in-law Paul Rhoads.

Alphia was born October 20, 1925 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Mary Howard. She married William A. LeGrand on June 6, 1943 in Corning, Arkansas. Together they shared over 62 years of marriage before his passing on April 11, 2006.

Survivors include her daughter Lana Sue (Paul) Rhoads of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Gary L. LeGrand.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Poplar Bluff city cemetery with Reverend Steve Patterson officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Rhoads-LeGrand Scholarship fund at Williams Baptist University Advancement Office 56 McClellan Drive, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476.
