Alta Kearbey Campbell

Alta Kearbey Campbell, 99, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Cedargate Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Campbell was born Jan. 22, 1912 in the Cane Creek community of Butler County. As long as health permitted she was a faithful member of Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker, and was a member of the Cane Creek Extension Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working with flowers in her yard, needlepoint, crocheting and quilting.
On July 3, 1926, she married Chester Raymond Campbell in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1999.
Survivors include her son, Charles Ray Campbell and wife Sandy of Poplar Bluff; a grandson Justin Campbell of Poplar Bluff; and a great-granddaughter, Jillian Campbell also of Poplar Bluff.
Her parents, Henry and Velda (Scott) Campbell also preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County with Mr. Bill Turner officiating.
