Alta Lee Woolf, 88, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Poplar Bluff died Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Woolf was born Feb. 23, 1922 in Shannon County. She was a member of Twin Springs Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Woolf enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, embroidering, playing the piano and her church.
On Dec. 6, 1941 she was married to Paul W. Woolf. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1994.
Survivors include 3 children, Rondal Woolf and his wife Charlotte of Thebes, Ill., James Woolf and his wife Shannon of Idaho Spring, Colo., and Jay Woolf and wife Sheryl of Pacific; 5 grandchildren, Audrey Dames, Stephanie Lalumondier, Christina Woolf, Amber Woolf and Sarah Woolf; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Daniel Eli and Lula Bell (Williams) Corbin, sisters, Laura Crawley and Lorraine Kirtley and brothers, Irby Corbin, Eddy Corbin and Lynn Corbin also preceded Mrs. Woolf in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Richards officiating and the Rev. Kenny Parker assisting. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
