Andrew Raymond Edgin, 87, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Edgin was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Leachville, Ark. He attended Cornerstone Tabernacle, and had retired from General Motors. Mr. Edgin enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
On April 20, 1963, he married Martha Vaughn, in Auburn Heights, Mich. She survives.
Other survivors include 2 daughters, Betty Babb and Geraldine Riggins, both of Poplar Bluff; 2 sons, Donald Ray Edgin, of Monterey Park, Calif., and J. C. Hardin, of Ortonville, Mich.; 9 grandchildren, Jerry Hardin, Bryan Hardin, Kelli McDonald, Rich Hardin, Dan Helton, Marsha Moore, Rick Babb, Pam Babb and Nancy Edgin; 19 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Lois Hardin, of Ortonville, Mich.
His parents, William and Mammie (Shafner) Edgin, a son, Richard Hardin, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the Old Oak Hill Church, in Butler County. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Church Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be at Old Oak Hill Cemetery.
