Anna Lucy Lourance, age 105, of Qulin, Mo. died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Lourance was born Oct. 25, 1904 at Morehouse, Mo. She was a member of Black River Missionary Baptist Church at Qulin, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lourance enjoyed taking care of her family and grandchildren, working in the garden and traveling.
On Jan. 18, 1925 she was married to Floyd Lourance in Mountain View, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1983.
Survivors include three children, William Lourance and his wife Janette of Poplar Bluff, Wilfred Lourance and his wife Georgia of Sturdivant, Mo., and Edgar Lourance and his wife Joan of Qulin, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Diane Robertson, Debbie Hearron, Carl Jeffries, Jr., Gail Fredwell, Sheila Manes, Sharon Lourance, Robert Lourance, Paul Lourance, William Lourance, Tina Brown and Betsy Lourance; 19 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, William and Margaret (Earls) Webb, daughter, Gladys Jeffries and her husband Carl and grandsons, DeWayne Lourance, Wade Lourance and Steve Lourance.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel with Bro. Brian Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County.
