Anna Virginia Tyler, 81, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Tyler was born April 24, 1929 in Rivervale, Ark. She was a member of the Harviell Pentecostal Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Tyler enjoyed spending time with her family, singing and praising the Lord, sewing, cooking and growing flowers and plants.
On July 9, 1946, she married Paul Tyler in Leachville, Ark. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2001.
Survivors include 7 children, Dorothy Stacy, Brenda Spence and husband Robert, David Tyler and wife Pam, Mary Baker and husband Randy, Danny Tyler and wife Melissa and Rachael Tyler all Poplar Bluff and Minnie Kissee and husband Wayne of Corning, Ark.; 18 grandchildren, Harold Stacy, Jr., Howard Stacy, Heather Powell and husband Dusty, Don Tyler, Jr. and wife Heather, Carol Hines and husband Jeff, Amanda Carl and husband Gary, Karen Tubb and husband Kevin, Ronnie Carol, Jr. and wife Erin, Scotty Carol and wife Mary, Teresa Blount and husband Steve, Stephanie Malone and husband Jay, Tara Tyler, Troy Tyler, Jennifer Davis and husband Jacob, Josh Tyler and wife Valerie, Mathew Tyler, Kami Tyler and Dustin Tyler; 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Nell Vance and husband Jack of St. Charles, Mo.
Her parents, Claude Orville and Mary Ellen (Hicks) Harrington, two sons, Don Tyler and Paul Orville Tyler and a grandson, Phillip Paul Tyler also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel with Bro. Leroy Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Kinsey Cemetery in Butler County.
