Arlan King Dixon

Arlan King Dixon, Jr. 83, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Dixon, son of the late Arlan King Sr. and Elsie (Miller) Dixon, was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Aruba, Dutch West Indies. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy proudly serving his country during the Korean War. Mr. Dixon had retired from McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends at Steak and Shake, Hayden's Drive Inn, McDonalds and Burger King. His favorite pastime was being on the golf course playing with his friends.

Survivors include four step children: Jason, Casey, Shawn, and Kristina; one nephew, Lloyd Wilson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two nieces: Jeanette Scrivner and Diane Sellers both of O'Fallon, Mo.

His wife Dorris; a special friend, Mildred Clark; and a sister, Bernice Wilson also preceded Mr. Dixon in Death.

A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Burial will be at the Eastwood Cemetery in Van Buren, Mo.
