Arthur R. ""Tuck"" Davis, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday Feb. 25, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Davis was born June 19, 1929 in Qulin, and was a lifelong resident of Butler County. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and had retired in 1987 from the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center after 23 years of service. Mr. Davis was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
On Nov. 12, 1949, he married Mary Helen Woodham. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Marilyn VanKirk and husband, Don, and Beverly Robertson all of Poplar Bluff; two grandsons, Colby Robertson and Jake Robertson; three granddaughters, Stacy VanKirk, Ashley Carr and Kim Battista; four great-grandsons, Jett and Christian Robertson, Dylan Carr and Jayce Battista; one sister, Laverne Whitehead of Maryland Heights; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Lillie (Harper) Davis, three brothers, Ralph Davis, Homer Davis and James Davis; and two sisters, Ruth Schrader and Irene Rose.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Ken Harper officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Qulin Cemetery.
