Audra Jean Terrell, 90, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at The Cedargate Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Terrell, the daughter of the late Lewis Marvin and Alma (Lawson) Forrester, was born April 17, 1925 in Greene County, Ill. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff and had retired in 1987 as a secretary at Three Rivers Community College. Mrs. Terrell was a past member of the Junior Citizenship Club and was a member of Lakeview Country Club as well as the Koffee Klan Bowling League. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, playing golf, gardening, quilting, sewing and crafts. Mrs. Terrell loved taking care of her flowers and feeding the birds.
On Nov. 17, 1956, she married Wayman Terrell in Sikeston. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2010.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Smith of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren: Benjamin (Dana) Maxwell, Mark Maxwell and Megan Smith all of Poplar Bluff; and three great-grandchildren: Kylyn Maxwell, Brynna Maxwell and Cambry Maxwell.
Two brothers, Donald Forrester and Keith Forrester and two sisters, Dora Owings and Bessie Piper also preceded Mrs. Terrell in death.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. David Huck officiating. Burial will follow at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
