Barbara Jean Lunsford, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at her home lovingly surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lunsford was born July 13, 1957 in San Jose, Calif. She was of the Protestant faith, and was the owner and operator of His and Her Hair Salon in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Lunsford enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, being outdoors and riding with her husband on their motorcycle.
On Nov. 25, 1978, she married Ken Lunsford in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Lunsford and wife, Jayne, of Oshkosh, Wisc. and Bryan Lunsford, of Poplar Bluff; her parents, D.L. and Imogene (Mitchner) Thomas, of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Lane Lunsford, Katelyn Lunsford, and soon to be new arrival, Madelyn Lunsford; three sisters, Pam Harris and Teresa Barker and husband, Ronnie, all of Poplar Bluff and Beverly Conner and husband, Dale, of Ellsinore, Mo.: a brother, Jim Hensley and wife, Debbie, of Williamsville, Mo.; her niece that was like a daughter, Kristi Ryman, of Poplar Bluff; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor Greg Faughn officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
