Barbara Meredith Phillips

Barbara Meredith Phillips (Pepmiller), age 81, passed peacefully February 9th 2018, surrounded by her daughters. Barbara is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Kathryn and Richard Pepmiller of Doniphan, MO, her husband Don, her youngest brother Sam Pepmiller of Plymouth, MN and her son-in-law Jesse Pippens of Collinsville, IL She is survived by her daughters Merry Pippens of Collinsville, IL and Donna Hollander of Boonville, IN; her grandchildren Victoria (Katy) Pippens, Jesse Pippens IV, Kyle Hollander and Taylor Hollander; son-in-law Jerry, a brother Kenneth, sister-in-law Arlene and four nieces and one nephew.

Barbara was born December 31st 1936 in Doniphan, MO. Barbara was a true servant of her Lord and Savior. She started the kindergarten and pre-school programs of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO where she taught for over 30 years. She was active in her church and in Sunday School, choir, bell choir, orchestra, JOY group and numerous mission trips. She was an avid volunteer throughout the community of Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau. Barbara could be seen daily working at the United Gospel Rescue Mission signing folks in or behind the counter serving. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Beta Tau Master.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday February 24th at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with a Memorial Service following at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara's life.
