Barbara Ann Spence

Barbara Ann Spence, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017.Barb, the daughter of Iley Poole and Bessie Blake (nee Harroald) was born February 27, 1938 in Poplar Bluff.

Barb was a proud mother of three off-spring: Robert Wayne (husband of Brenda), Steven Neal, and Rebecca Jean (wife of Scott Stringer); wife of the recently deceased Bobbie Jean Spence; sister to eight siblings: Clifton Poole, Roy Dewayne Poole, Bobby Johnston, Paul Douglas Johnston, Jessie Poole, Linda Lea Poole, Sarah Dolly Poole and Sharron Kay Randall. She was preceded in death by Jesse.

Barb was married to Bob for over 60 years during which time their adventures were many and laughs abundant. Barb ended her career as a case worker for the Missouri Department of Economic Security. She enjoyed oil painting, decorating, rock hunting, but most of all, laughing and family. She was an amazing wife and mother. Om shanti; we love you deeply and miss you Mom.

A celebration of life is being held at 2219 Penny St., Saturday, July 15th at 12:00 PM.
