Beeler Ethridge

Beeler Ethridge, 83, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

Mr. Ethridge was born March 10, 1925 in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from the City of Paragould Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Ethridge was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during WW II, and was a member of the American Legion where he previously served as Vice Commander. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and gardening.

On Dec. 12, 1960 he married Glenda Niswonger, in Bloomfield. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters: Belenda Shearer and Tracey Osgood, both of Paragould; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A son who passed away Saturday, Nov. 15 and was laid to rest Thursday, Nov. 20.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
