Bennie "Ben" Olen Watkins

Bennie "Ben" Olen Watkins, 69, of Bell City, Mo. passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Midland, TX.

Ben was born May 24, 1946 at Batesville, Ark. to the late Bernell and Edith Porter Watkins. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors and playing and singing along with his guitar. He loved his family, but most of all he loved the Lord. He will be missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Treva Watkins Pfaff of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a son, Robert Watkins of the home; a sister, Sharon Watkins Couch (husband, Wayne) of Brookland, Ark.; a brother Curtis Watkins; and two grandchildren, a great grandchild and several nephews and many friends.

Two sisters, Patricia and Diane Watkins, who died at birth also preceded Ben in death.

The visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Brother Tom Sheppard officiating. After the service full Military Honors will take place outside the funeral home.
