Benny Daves

Benny Daves, 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Daves was born July 25, 1940 in Wayne County Mo. to the late Oda and Opal Leach Daves. He was a retired over the road truck driver for over 40 years, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a nephew and caregiver, Johnny Romine of Poplar Bluff, as well as nephews, Jerry Lee Daves of Poplar Bluff and Terry Groves of Greenville; nieces: Brenda Davis and Kimmy Daves of Poplar Bluff; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Daves was also preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Groves and a brother, Jerry Daves.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Kirpatrick Cemetery in Wayne County, Mo.
