Bertha Hinton Keeble

Bertha Hinton Keeble, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly St. Louis and Poplar Bluff, died Thursday August 17, 2006 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.

Mrs. Keeble was born October 22, 1924 in Poplar Bluff. A retired RN, she worked her entire career as a compassionate and loving nurse, starting as an LPN. Mrs. Keeble enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, sewing, and helping others. Mrs. Keeble was a member of the Resurrection Church in Dayton, Ohio.

She was married to Josephus Keeble. He preceded her in death in May, 1996.

Survivors include five children, Barbara Keeble Katayama, of Hercules, CA; Dennis Keeble and Caroline Keeble of Columbus, OH, Josephus Keeble, Jr. of Dayton, OH; and Bryant Keeble of Chillicothe, OH; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; three sisters, Mary Frances White, Josephine Mosely and Maggie Thornton Greer, all of St. Louis; two brothers, Calvin Hinton of Poplar Bluff and Elbert Hinton, Jr. of St. Louis.
