Bertie Mae Poore

Bertie Mae Poore, 84, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019 at Hunter Acres Care Center in Sikeston.

Mrs. Poore, the daughter of the late George and Stella (Amerson) Teeples, was born Feb. 18,  1935 in Athens, AL.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and for many years had worked at Kenney Fashions in Valley Plaza.  Mrs. Poore enjoyed taking walks, flower gardening and working outdoors.

She was married to Roy Aubert Poore on Oct. 22, 1950, in Pocahontas, AR.  He preceded her in death.

A sister Emily Wilkerson of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews also preceded Mrs. Poore in death.

A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
