Betty Sue (Edgin) Babb

Betty Sue Babb, 71, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, May 4, 2012 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Babb was born July 16, 1940 in Mayfield, Ky. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and had retired from Oakdale Care Center as a laundry worker. Mrs. Babb enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, making quilts and fishing.

Her husband, Donald Babb preceded her in death in 1995.

Survivors include two children, Pamela Babb of Poplar Bluff and Rick Babb of Washington, Mo.; two granddaughters, Heather Griffith and Danica Babb; a sister, Geraldine Riggins and husband Bill of Poplar Bluff; and two brothers, Donald Ray Edgin and wife Donna of Monterey Park, Calif. and J.C. Hardin and wife Doris of Ortonville, Mich.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Old Oak Hill Church off Hwy W in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with The Rev. Melburn Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Old Oak Hill Cemetery.
