Betty Ann Kearbey Griffy

Betty Ann Griffy, 71, of Republic, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at Republic Health and Rehab Center.

Betty, the daughter of the late Leo and Dollie Mabrey Kearney, was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Poplar Bluff. She was a former member of Memorial Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and was a member of North Nixa Baptist Church in Nixa, Mo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hunting and fishing with her husband.

She was married to Carroll A. Griffy on May 22, 1965, in Butler County, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2015.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Boehme and her husband Shawn Boehme of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Derrick Allen Boehme and Jordan Michelle Boehme; and a sister, Mary Lawson and her husband Jerry D. Lawson of Poplar Bluff.

Two brothers, Eugene Kearbey and James McKnight and two sisters, Helen Kinnamore and Wilma Thompson also preceded Betty in death.

The visitation will begin at 10 am Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11 am. The Rev. Roger Mayo will officiate. Burial will be at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County, Mo.
