Betty May (Clark) Mcknight

Betty May McKnight, 87, of Ellsinore, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. McKnight was born June 30, 1928 in Flint, Mich., to the late Maynard and Annettie S. (Smith) Clark. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker. For many years Mrs. McKnight worked as a restaurant cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and sewing.

On June 6, 1947, she married Clyde McKnight Sr. in Flint, Mich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1970.

Survivors include three children: Clyde McKnight, Jr. (Glenda) of Pheba, Miss., and Patrick McKnight and Carroll McKnight (Debbie) of Ellsinore; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A brother, LeRoy Clark also preceded Mrs. McKnight in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Puxico City Cemetery.
