Betty Jo (Stanley) Robinson

Betty Jo Robinson, 73, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Robinson was born Aug. 8, 1938 in Kennett, Mo. She was a member of Midland Street Church, and was a homemaker. Ms. Robinson enjoyed spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren, fishing, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include two children: Steven J. Robinson and wife Ann of Poplar Bluff and Melissa Gilton and husband Dino of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren: Anthony Robinson of Poplar Bluff, and Sergio Robinson, Cassi Gilton, Tracy Gilton, Isaac Gilton and Clarisa Gilton all of Tulsa, Okla.; a great-grandson, Caleb Robinson; and a sister, Vivian Pollock of Poplar Bluff.

Her parents, Delbert and Nacel Mae (Foster) Stanley, three children, Vicky Lynn Robinson, Allen J. Robinson, Jr. and Sharon Kay Robinson, two sisters, Wilma Lee Stanley and Geraldine Stanley and two brothers, Steve Stanley and Sonny Stanley preceded Ms. Robinson in death.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County with The Rev. Paul White officiating.
