Betty Ann (Williams) Shafer

February 13, 1950 — March 6, 2020

Betty Ann Shafer, 70, of Poplar Bluff, entered the arms of Jesus Friday, March 6, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Betty, the daughter of the late Paul R. Williams and Nora Lou Williams Whitlock, was born Feb. 13, 1950, in Newport, Ark.  She was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith and a member of the American Legion.  Before becoming disabled Betty was a long-distance truck driver.  She loved traveling and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Polly Katterhagen (John), Jerry Williams (Lovetta), Mary Williams, Terry Williams, and K.L. Williams (Vickie), and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Kara, Daniel Kara and Donald Williams.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
