Betty Joyce (Goodson) Stewart

Betty Joyce Stewart, 78, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Stewart was born January 23, 1937, in Deering, MO, to the late Esco and Lucille Pullam Goodson.
On July 26, 1957 she and Melvin Bodine Stewart were united in marriage in Aurora, IL. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2014.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of Black River Baptist Church and enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons: Ray Stewart (Kelly) of Moberly, MO, Rick Stewart (Diana) of Poplar Bluff, and Ronnie Stewart (Paula) of Mammoth Spring, AR; and eight grandchildren: Chandra, Cody, Josh, April, Justin, Lindsay, Kaitlin and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren: Victoria, Brylee, and Paisley.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel with Pastor Henry Pasquet officiating. Interment will follow at Bernie Cemetery.
