Betty M. Swindle, 66, of Doniphan formerly of Parma died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, in Memphis, Tenn.
Mrs. Swindle was born Nov. 15, 1941, in Parma, Mo. She was a member of His Place, in Doniphan, and owned and operated Stop-N-Go Convenience Store, in Poplar Bluff from 2000 - 2008. Mrs. Swindle enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and shopping.
On May 2, 1982 she married Fred Swindle, in Parma. He survives.
Other survivors include two children, Richie Van Patterson, of Dallas, Tex. and Rayvan Lee Patterson, of Doniphan; three step-children, Steve Swindle, of Caruthersville, Mo., Trina Jo Powell, of Columbia, Mo. and Nan Teeter, of Steele, Mo.; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Bob Walls, of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at His Place, in Doniphan with the Rev. Ben Jordan officiating. Burial will be at the Doniphan City Cemetery.
