Betty Rosella (Myers) Young

Betty Rosella Young, 79, of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Young was born on May 7, 1933 in Stanton, Mo. to William C. and Lucy Nicholas Myers.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a retired Riverboat Cook. Betty enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Matthew T. Civili, and William (Bill) Young both of Poplar Bluff, 7 grandchildren; Jonathan Civili, Jesse Sutton, Keith Foster, Jamie Kendall, Christen Young, Sara Young, Michael Crim; 7 great-grandchildren; Aiden Young, Ana Webb, Aaron Young, Toryn Kendle, Owen Sutton, Tristen Sutton, Gabriel Sutton; and a sister Elizabeth Myers of Las Vegas, NV.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John Civili Jr. and a sister Lucille Dickens.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. The Funeral Services will follow at 10: 30 a.m., with Father Joseph Mathai officiating. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
