Beulah Mae Evans, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., entered Heaven's gates on Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Evans, the daughter of the late Claude and Maude Huey Swafford, was born Feb. 21, 1932 in Flat River, Mo. She enjoyed attending church service at Church of God of Prophecy when she was able. Mrs. Evans was retired from Cedargate Nursing Home after 38 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and reminiscing on the "good ole" days.
On May 11, 1952 she was united in marriage to Carl S. Evans in Poplar Bluff to whom she shared 40 blissful years of marriage with. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1992.
Survivors include her son, Randall K Evans (Kathy) of Springfield, Ill.; daughter in law, Glenda J. Evans; a former daughter in law, Diana L. Evans; grandchildren; Brian C. Evans (Stacy), Brent Evans (Diane), Melissa D. Phelps (Charles), Felina Lortie (Josh), Marica Masqua, Matthew Clemence, Jeffrey Clemence (Kelly) and Bradley Clemence (Kayla; and great grandchildren; Tyler, Briann, Alyson, Caleb, Brittany, Dalton, Charleyse, Marissa, Mason and Lizzy.
Her son, James S. Evans, brothers, Charles Ray, Delmer Don, Billy Gene, Joe and Robert Eugene and a great granddaughter, Brooklyn M. Evans also preceded Mrs. Evans in death
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Pastor Kenny King officiating and Rev. Randy Wallis assisting.
