Beverly Elaine Holrath

Beverly Elaine (McLean) Holrath, 66, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Beverly was born July 21, 1952 in St. Louis, MO. She retired in 2010 from Van Buren R-1 School District. Beverly enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, taking photos and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Community of Christ Church. For many years, she was a Girl Scout troop leader and a counselor at Oak Hill Day Camp.

She married William Dale Holrath on February 26, 1972 in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Beverly is survived by three daughters, Christine Vinson (Kevin) of Jackson, MO; Catherine Dollins (Gary Jr.) of Poplar Bluff and Annessa Murdock (Christopher) of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Gregory Dollins of Poplar Bluff; Megan Murdock of Poplar Bluff; Caitlin Dollins of Poplar Bluff and Caleb Vinson of Jackson, MO; two sisters, Ruth Zahner of Poplar Bluff and Dorthy Contini (John) of Lancaster, KY; five brothers, Robert McLean (Beverly) of Green Ridge, MO; Frank McLean of St. Louis, MO; Lou McLean (Becky) of Puxico, MO; David McLean (Holly) of Independence, MO and Daniel McLean (Elizabeth) of Poplar Bluff; 27 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas George and Elizabeth Jane (McAllister) McLean, her older brother Loren Douglas McLean, and a sister-in-law Bobbie McLean.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Monday, July 1, 2019 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, 701 Vine Street in Poplar Bluff, MO, with the funeral service following 12:00 PM. The Elder Bruce Beck will officiate. Burial will be at Crossroads Church Cemetery in Shook, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Girl Scout Oak Hill Day Camp Scholarship, c/o Myra Knight, 889 CR 448, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
