Billy Ice

Billy (Bill) Roy Ice, 88, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on December 8, 2018.

Bill was born on March 20, 1930 to Roy and Bertha (Smith) Ice at Holcomb, MO. Bill owned and operated Bills Autosales in Poplar Bluff for several years and was employed by area dealerships. Bill was the tire manager at Montgomery Ward where he worked several years until they closed. On June 10, 1949 he married Lucille Ice in Van Buren, AR. Bill was a loving husband and caretaker for 69 years to Lucille Ice.

Bill was a Board member for the local Farm Bureau. Bill was previously a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders Association. Bill enjoyed working on his farm and taking care of his animals. Bill loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Billy is survived by daughter, Jeanne (Mark) Snowden of Poplar Bluff, MO; five grandchildren, James "Jay" Sisson, Jr., Jenae Sisson, Marissa Snowden, Shauna Ice, and Ryan Ice; 9 great-grandchildren; special niece, Cheryl (Scott) Vernon; Three Brothers, Robert Ice of Wauchula, FL, Jimmy Ice, Charles Ice of Poplar Bluff, MO; Two Sisters Donna Richmann, Mary Pratt of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lucille Ice; one son Rocky Gene Ice, best friend and loving younger brother Jesse Otto Ice, and 3 other siblings.

He and his family are very proud of his granddaughter, SSG Marissa Snowden, serving in the United States Army and currently stationed in Germany.
