Billy G. Sisk

Billy G. Sisk, 70, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, May 18, 2009 at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis.

Mr. Sisk was born Jan. 25, 1939 in Poplar Bluff, and was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. A retired truck driver and member of the Teamster's Union, Mr. Sisk was also a cattle farmer; member of the International Brangus Breeder's Association; and veteran of the U. S. Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming and riding horses.

On Sept. 19, 1964 he married Flora V. Myers in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include two children: Randall Sisk and wife Christine of Poplar Bluff and Kristi Williams and husband Matt of St. Louis; 5 grandchildren: Justin A. Williams, Nathan Williams, Rene Sisk, Derek Sisk and Hannah Sisk; 2 sisters, Verna Loness of Poplar Bluff and Josephine Drake and husband Charles, of Houston, Tex.; and a brother, Larry Sisk of North East Maryland.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be at Black Creek Cemetery in Butler County.

Memorials may be made to a Humane Society of ones choice.
