Birthe Tylla

Birthe Tylla, 68, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Wisconsin passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Tylla was born Nov. 7, 1944 in Aarhus, Denmark. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had formerly worked at the Black River Coliseum. Mrs. Tylla loved to spend time with her family and pets, traveling with her husband, sewing, arts and crafts and watching hummingbirds in her back yard.

In June 1966, she married Jerome Tylla in Racine, Wisc. He survives.

Other survivors include her children, Noel Tylla of Milwaukee, Wisc. and Brent Tylla of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Her mother, Ester Jorgensen, father and stepmother, Holger and Alice Jorgensen, and brother, Egor Jorgensen preceded Mrs. Tylla in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Joseph Mathai officiating.
