Bobby Lee Brannum

Bobby Lee Brannum, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at Westwood Hills Health and Rehab Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Brannum, the son of the late David and Mildred Findley Brannum, was born March 9, 1931 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Brannum proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. and had retired from the Missouri Air National Guard. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 209 in Poplar Bluff, where he previously served as Worshipful Master, District Deputy Grandmaster of Grand Lodge and Treasurer; was a member of Scottish Rite, a member of Shriner-Moolah Temple, a member of Three Rivers Shrine Club, a member of Aad Grotto and a member of Elks Lodge 2503. Mr. Brannum was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

On Jan. 24, 1951, he married Irma Lea Gentry in Vallejo, Calif. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two children, Gary Lee Brannum of Fenton, Mo. and Kenneth Lee Brannum of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Lauren Brannum, Sarah Schaffer and Erin Meadows; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Joyce Welchel of Poplar Bluff.

An infant son, David Lee Brannum and two brothers, Ron Brannum and Gene Brannum also preceded Mr. Brannum in death.

The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff. A Masonic Service will begin at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the funeral service following. The Rev. Frank Chlastak will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
