Bobby Gene Livesay

Bobby G. Livesay, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Livesay, the son of the late Milo Earl and Margaret Marie (Whorton) Livesay, was born Aug. 14, 1935 in Marmaduke, Ark. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and retired from the maintenance department at Doctors Regional Medical Center. Mr. Livesay proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was member of Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge 209 where he received his 50-year pin and also served as Worshipful Master. Mr. Livesay also served as Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Lodge 344, he received a 60-year pin from the DeMolay and also served as a dad advisor for the Rainbow Girls and the DeMolays. Mr. Livesay adored his wife and family he also enjoyed spending time at the Lodge, gardening, fishing and reading.

On Nov. 6, 1955 he married Joyce Jean Crawford in Rector, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Anna Sharlene Livesay of Michigan City, Ind.; a brother, Charles Earl (Patricia) Livesay of Maryland; two sisters, Deborah Diane (Charles) Cole of Mississippi and Teresa Ann (Randy) Myers of Kansas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Wayne Livesay and sister in law, JoAnn Livesay.

A Masonic service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with visitation following until 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. J C Bryant officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
