Brent Carl Cooper

Brent Carl Cooper, 21, of Wappapello, Mo. died unexpectedly Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, Mo.

Brent was born Nov. 12, 1989 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was affiliated with the Apostolic Church in Puxico, Mo., and was employed with Union Pacific Railroad. Brent enjoyed being on the river with his son, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers.

Survivors include his son, Easton Gage Cooper of Wappapello, Mo.; his parents, Brad and Donna Helm, brother, Blake Helm and sisters, Lindsey Cooper and Madison Helm all of Puxico; father, Billy C. Cooper and sister Katie Cooper both of Poplar Bluff; companion and mother of his child, Brittany Buckner of Wappapello, Mo.; special grandmother, Jewell Birdsong, of Harviell, Mo.; and grandparents, Paul and Thelma Helm of Puxico.

His grandfather, Larry Birdsong and grandparents, Bill and Virginia Cooper preceded Mr. Cooper in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with Rev. David Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Kinsey Cemetery in Butler County.
