Brian James Dueker

Brian James Dueker, 42, of Wappapello, Mo died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Dueker was born July 28, 1969 in St. Louis, Mo. He was an active participant in the family owned business, Miller Motor Lodge in Wappapello, and was an Honorable Deputy Sheriff with the St. Louis Police Department. Mr. Dueker was an avid NASCAR Fan and was once selected as a Fan of The Week by racecar driver Jimmy Johnson. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling and collecting ball caps.

Survivors include his father, Lonnie Dueker of Wappapello; a sister, Melissa Kawelaske and husband Richard of Imperial, Mo.; a brother, Don Dueker and wife Michelle, of Maryville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

His mother, Patricia Ann (Hofmann) Dueker preceded him in death on March 22, 2011.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
