C. Pearl (Metcalf) Medley

C. Pearl Medley, 85, of Poplar Bluff passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2016 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Medley, the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Julius Metcalf, was born April 23, 1930 in Asherville, Mo. She was a mother and homemaker until March, 2000 when she began her employment at Taco Bell in Poplar Bluff. She served as a greeter and hostess for ten years and made countless new and cherished friends. Mrs. Medley became a resident of Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in 2013, where she was so lovingly cared for until her death. She loved spending time with her family and many friends.

On March 28, 1948, she married Leamon Medley in Puxico, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1999.

Mrs. Medley is survived by three children: Connie Hurt and husband, John of Fairdealing, Mo., Teresa Heuiser and husband, Tim of Poplar Bluff and Stacy Medley and wife, Diane of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren: Debra Libla and husband, Bob, Ryan Heuiser and wife, Abbey and Andrew Heuiser and wife, Nikki all of Poplar Bluff, Cory Medley and wife, Sarah and Emily Medley all of Jonesboro, Ark.; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom shared her life and heart.

Two sisters, Mirl Jewel and Sindy Cochran and two brothers, Virgil Bounds and Thomas Metcalf also preceded Mrs. Medley in death.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Dr. Steve Proctor will officiate. Burial will take place in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
