Cacelia Pigg, beloved wife of Joseph H. Pigg left this world on Jan 5, 2010 at Oakdale Care Center. She had been in declining health for the past two years. Her children were at her side when the Lord took her.
Cacelia was born in Geiselhoring, Germany on December 31, 1927. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Lucy Lee Hospital for several years before retiring.
On October 16, 1949, she married Joseph H. Pigg who preceded her in death as well as her oldest son, Michael and oldest daughter, Inge May.
Cacelia leaves behind two daughters, Linda Pigg of Poplar Bluff, Candy Hill and husband Mike of Broseley; two sons, Rick Pigg and wife, Kathy and David Pigg and wife Angie of Williamsville; seven grandchildren, Eric Pigg and wife Kaisha, and Dylan Pigg all of Poplar Bluff, Mandi Webster and husband Jarred of Poplar Bluff, Lauren Pigg of North Carolina, and Jessica Wagner of Poplar Bluff, Gentry Sturgeon of Poplar Bluff and Todd Hill of Broseley, Mo.; and four great-grandchildren, Trevor and Bryce Wagner, Riley Scott Webster and Colton Joseph Pigg all of Poplar Bluff.
Cacelia was a forthright woman of German stock who left a strong impression on her family and friends. She said what she thought and meant what she said, whether you were in agreement or not. During her last few months of life, she only wanted to be with her husband so that they can go on as they were meant to be. We will miss her greatly but know in our hearts, she is in a better place.
