Calvin Hinton

Calvin Hinton, 84, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Hinton was born in Poplar Bluff. on June 11, 1928 to Elbert and Georgia Burnside Hinton.

He had been a self employed truck driver, a Veteran of the Army, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hinton enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out with his friends at Wal-Mart and the VFW, going to the country, fishing, hunting and traveling.

He was survived by his children: Carla Hinton of Poplar Bluff, Linda Mann and Marilyn Hinton of St. Louis, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Josephine Mobley and Maggie Greer, of St. Louis.

Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel from 12:30 ? 1:30 p.m. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield at 2 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Williams Sr. officiating.
