Caralene (Cromer) Terry

Caralene Terry, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Terry was born Feb. 26, 1931 in Hackleburg, Ala. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had retired after 36 years as a clerk typist for the Missouri Highway Patrol, Troop E in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Terry enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games, reading and crocheting.

On Oct. 21, 1950, she married Glenn E. Terry in Michigan. Mr. Terry preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1979.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda C. Byrd and husband Marvin of White Oak, Mo.; a son, Dale A. Terry and wife Arda of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Scott A. Terry and wife Mandy of Arnold, Mo., Cynthia C. Chance and husband Bart of Portageville, Mo. and Melissa A. Byrd of Vero Beach, Fla.

Her parents, Joseph Francis and Susan (Howell) Cromer, six sisters and five brothers also preceded Mrs. Terry in death.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Leland Duncan officiating.
