Carl Edmond Belcher

Carl Edmond Belcher, 81, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Belcher was born April 16, 1933 in Ware, Ill., to the late Elbert George and Ella May Smith Belcher. He had retired as a welder for McCade Powers, in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Belcher enjoyed gardening, tinkering with and repairing anything, trading and going to flea markets.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline Harvell of the home; two sons, Rick Belcher (Debbie), of Overland, Mo. and Terry Belcher, of Wood River, Ill.; two stepchildren: Nell Pollnow (John), of Chesterfield, Mo. and Bob Harvell (Theresa), of Alabama; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Karen Belcher also preceded Mr. Belcher in death.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Celebration of Life service following at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Orr will officiate. There will not be an interment.
