Carl Everett Davis, 87, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Davis was born April 8, 1924 in Lamar, Ark. He was a member of Sacred Heath Catholic Church, and was a member of Knights of Columbus. Mr. Davis was a retired truck driver for East Texas Motor Freight, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing for crappie and catfish, woodworking and building trailers.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Sue (Ranzie) Davis; three sons, Timothy Davis and Buddy Davis both of Poplar Bluff and Cecil Davis of St. Peters, Mo.; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Davis of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21st at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Prayer Service being held at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Funeral Chapel with Father David Coon officiating and Chaplain Bill Hatch assisting. Burial with full military honors will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
