Carol Jan (Lux) Pinkston

Carol Jan Pinkston, 74, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, January 06, 2025, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Carol was born on August 20, 1950, to Arvil and Anne (Wheeler) Lux in Kinfolks Ridge, Missouri. She married James Stanley Pinkston on December 14, 1969, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Carol was a long time and active member of First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff. She was the Worship Team Chairman and served on the church board for many years. Carol retired from the VA hospital where she worked in the pharmacy for 22 years. She also worked for the family businesses, Pinkston Excavating and Everyday Design. She enjoyed decorating and remodeling projects. Carol loved hosting family gatherings, parties, and planning church events. She always looked for ways to make others feel special.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stanley; one daughter, Stacie Pinkston; one sister, Ginger (Guy) Vincent; sister-in-law, Suzy Lux; brother-in-law, Bob (Katherine) Pinkston; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sherry (Dale) Bullington; one brother, Michael Lux; nephew, Rylee Pinkston.

Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 16th, from 10:30am-11:30am at First Christian Church in Poplar Bluff. Memorial service will follow beginning at 11:30am with Jacob Hogg officiating.
