Carolyn Sue Bratton, 64, of Williamsville, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at her residence.
Carolyn was born May 7, 1947 in Williamsville, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith. During her life she was a housewife, mother and grandmother. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, fishing and watching the St. Louis Cardinal's ball games. During her working years she was employed by the Greenville R-2 school district and the Wayne County Nutrition Center.
On Sept. 29, 1962, she married Charles Bratton in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include four children, Shelia (Stan) Griggs, Don (Dana) Bratton, Ron Bratton and Nick Bratton all of Williamsville, Mo.; six grandchildren, Sarah (James) Cassin of Poplar Bluff, Cory Griggs of Williamsville, Mo. Emily Bratton and Trevor Bratton both of Greenville, Mo., and Tyler Bratton and Erika Lamb both of Poplar Bluff; one great grandchild, James Cassin of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Willa (Paul) Bilbrey of Williamsville, Mo. and Wanda (Bob) Bratton of St. Louis, Mo.; and one brother, Ray White of Williamsville, Mo.
Her parents, Marion and Lottie (Wood) White, one sister and three brothers preceded Carolyn in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 P.M. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenny Condray officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
